Who We Are

The Greater Pennsylvania Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association serves 59 counties in western, central and northeastern Pennsylvania through its offices in Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, along with a network of dedicated staff and volunteers across the Commonwealth.

Our Mission: The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

Our Vision: A world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia®

What We Do

As the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research, the Alzheimer's Association is committed to advancing vital research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.

Through its major fundraising events, the Walk to End Alzheimer's and The Longest Day, communities come together to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research.

The Alzheimer's Association provides care and support to those impacted by Alzheimer's disease and all other dementia through education programs, trainings and support groups.

The Association also advocates for public policies that increase critical research funding and support all those affected. Advocates play a critical role in our efforts to influence Alzheimer's and dementia policy at the federal and state level.

The Greater Pennsylvania Chapter is able to increase its reach through its wide network of dedicated volunteers. There are a variety of ways to get involved in the fight to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Visit alz.org/volunteer to learn more.
