Who We Are

Our Role in the Community

The Junior League of Lancaster annually focuses its support on a variety of community projects, committing financial support and hundreds of volunteer hours in an effort to fulfill our mission of improving the community.  Past and current projects in the Lancaster community include Hands on House Children's Museum, Woman-Build House with Habitat for Humanity, Deb's House, Milagro House and Aaron's Acres.   We dedicate our membership and financial resources in our focus area of childhood education, childhood obesity and childhood conflict-resolution strategies.

What We Do

Founded in 1923, The Junior League of Lancaster, PA, Inc. (JLL) reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.  We currently have over 300 active and sustaining members and are one of 293 Junior Leagues in four countries, comprising The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI).  AJLI is one of the largest, international volunteer organizations for women interested in making a positive impact in their communities.
