Who We Are
Lutheran Refugee Services offers initial resettlement and placement services, employment assistance, foster care for unaccompanied refugee minors, immigrational legal assistance, adult education, and variety of other services. Programs are designed to ensure that refugees and immigrants become self-sufficient as quickly as possible and experience a successful transition into the local community.
What We Do
Lutheran Refugee Services in Central PA, a program of Lutheran Children and Family Service, provides assistance to local refugees including initial resettlement and placement, employment services, foster care for unaccompanied refugee minors, immigration legal assistance, and other community integration supports.
The mission of Lutheran Children and Family Service is to "serve children and families in need." Lutheran Children and Family Service is an affiliated organization of Liberty Lutheran, which serves over 60,000 people each year and seeks to build up and strengthen caring communities of people across Eastern Pennsylvania.
