Who We Are

For the last century, the Lancaster Day Care Center has provided a learning rich environment to the children of working families in Lancaster County.

Our staff and volunteers are committed to providing;

  • A strong foundation in early education
  • Affordable childcare to foster gainful employment
  • Personalized learning support specific to the needs of each child

Through the generosity of the community, we work to grow our circle of reach and evolve the services we provide.  It is our collective goal to provide a nurturing environment to children of low-income families working or attending school full-time.

What We Do

Established in 1915, the core principles of the Lancaster Day Care Center (LDCC) have remained consistent.  We provide quality child care and early educatoin for 102 children, 8 weeks old thru kindergarten age, to low-income working families.  As in the beginning, we continue to base family fees on income level and family size.  The difference between what a family is able to pay and the actual cost of care is subsidized. LDCC is a STAR 4 child care center, which is the highest quality rating.
