Who We Are

The mission of the YMCA is rooted in Judeo-Christian values. The YMCA serves youth, families, and individuals in need by providing shelter, care, health and wellness programs, and recreation within the geographic area for which it is responsible. The Adamstown YMCA is located on Main Street in Adamstown, a small rural community. Extensive renovations to our existing building bring exciting new programs and membership offerings to the residents of Adamstown and surrounding communities. With the addition of locker room facilities, a new gymnasium, a large multi-purpose room, fitness room with CAM II strength training and some cardio equipment, and free weights, we are offering exercise classes, karate classes, swimming lessons and expanded youth sports and programs, summer camps, sign language, and rentals. We are constantly in the process of starting new programs for children, teens, and adults all the time.

What We Do

The Adamstown YMCA, a branch of the YMCA of Reading and Berks County, was formed October 20, 1955. We are often referred to as "The Biggest Little Y in the World", rich in history, strong in community involvement, and serve as a multi-purpose facility for Adamstown and the surrounding area. We are the social, recreational, and community center for the Adamstown area.
