The Salvation Army - Lancaster

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. The ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. We provide emergency food, clothing, budget counseling and need assessments, referrals and case management through our Family Services Department. Our Children Services Department provides state-licensed and affordable child care after school and all summer long. We also offer seasonal assistance each year at Christmas time for qualifying applicants and family members.

The Salvation in Lancaster has a distinguished history of over a century of service to God and the community; since 1891. It's record epitomizes the Army slogan of "Heart to God and Hand to Man". The Lancaster Corps of The Salvation Army has been commended as a model of Salvation Army ministry.
