Would you like to volunteer in a community center where you can interact with people of your age and interests?

Art of Recycle is a community center that is open to the public and has comfortable areas to work, while seated. One of our needs is for someone to assist with the greeting cards that are available for sale as part of AoR’s fundraising store. 

AoR receives hundreds of greeting cards a week which need to be sorted by occasion and paired with envelopes. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to volunteer in a slow paced, stress free environment that is socially active. The greeting card section is located in AoR’s bookstore, where you can greet guests and be seated at a table where you can help sort greeting cards and assist people in finding the perfect card. You have the option to volunteer anytime we are open for as many days or hours as you wish.

Want to organize a crochet or knitting club in Ephrata, PA? Art of Recycle has the comfy space and the need for a knitting/crochet club. Saturday mornings or afternoons are a great time for people to get together. Anytime during the week is ok too. If this is something that you have been wanting to do, but didn’t know where to host your knitting club, or how to get it started, then AoR is a place to start.

Art of Recycle is in need of people that can help to clean and decorate our activity rooms and store for holidays and events. These positions are volunteer only. We do not have a budget to hire people since many of our services are offered free to the public.

Do you love books as much as we do?

Art of Recycle runs a fundraising bookstore and gifts books for free to children. We are looking for someone who would like to clean and organize books in the bookstore one to three days a week, a few hours a day. Make your own schedule. This is a volunteer position, we cannot afford to hire. 

Art of Recycle is a community center and is a very social environment. There is plenty of seating in the bookstore and much of the work can be done while seated while socializing with guests in a stress free environment. It’s a great environment for a senior citizen who is interested in making friends and looking for something to do to stay active. Make your own hours, whenever we are open. Stock activity room with craft materials, straighten shelves, clean tables and floors, assist crafters with their needs.

Art of Recycle is looking for volunteers who would enjoy helping people with their crafting in our free activity room. We are always looking for volunteers who can help to tidy up after crafters and remind crafters to tidy up after themselves. This is a social environment working with children and their parents or guardians. This is a stress free and comfortable environment.

Art of Recycle does not have any hiring positions. We do not hire.

AoR is a great place to volunteer for school volunteer projects, or for seniors citizens who are looking for a social environment to participate in.
