Volunteer: Week of Caring Volunteer Opportunity Library Outdoor Beautification at Adamstown Area Library

Project Description

Help enhance the outdoor spaces at Adamstown Area Library through a community beautification project. Volunteers will assist with improving the library grounds by placing donor bricks within mulch beds and helping weed and maintain flower beds.

This project is a great opportunity to support a beloved community resource while helping create a welcoming and beautiful outdoor environment for library visitors.

Volunteer Details

Number of Volunteers Needed: 3–5 volunteers
Project Duration: Approximately 3 hours
Minimum Age: 16 years old

Volunteer Requirements Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome. Gardening experience is helpful but not required. Experience with donor brick placement is beneficial. Volunteers should enjoy working outdoors and helping with light landscaping tasks. What to Wear

Please wear:

Comfortable outdoor clothing Closed-toe shoes suitable for gardening and outdoor work

Additional equipment details will be provided closer to the project date.

Parking:
Off-street parking is available at the library.

Adamstown Area Library is located one block west of N. Reading Road in Adamstown and approximately 3 miles north of the Reamstown/Adamstown exit of 222N. Please use the library’s street address for directions.

Check-In:
Volunteers should enter the library and ask for the Library Director at the circulation desk.

Accessibility and Weather Plan This project is wheelchair accessible. In the event of inclement weather, volunteers may either reschedule or transition to an indoor project based on team preference. About Adamstown Area Library
