Project Description

Join the Lancaster County Food Hub Clothing Bank team and help make a direct impact on local families in need. Volunteers will assist with sorting and hanging donated clothing to keep the clothing racks organized, stocked, and ready for community members accessing these important resources.

This project is a great opportunity to support a vital community program while helping ensure donated clothing reaches families throughout Lancaster County.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear their company shirts or Week of Caring shirts for project photos.

Volunteer Details

Number of Volunteers Needed: 3–8 volunteers
Project Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Minimum Age: 18 years old

Volunteer Requirements Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome. No previous experience is needed. Volunteers should be comfortable with standing, sorting, and organizing clothing items. What to Wear

Please wear:

Comfortable clothing Closed-toe, comfortable shoes

This project includes standing tasks, so comfortable footwear is recommended.

Parking:
A gravel parking lot is available at:
811 N. Prince Street

Check-In:
Volunteers should meet the project coordinator at the N. Marshall Street entrance, located directly across from the gravel parking lot.

Project Description

Volunteers are the heartbeat of the Lancaster County Food Hub. Their dedication helps extend the organization’s reach and allows them to provide essential resources to thousands of individuals and families throughout the community.

During this project, volunteers will support warehouse operations by assisting with tasks such as:

Sorting donated food items Packaging fresh produce Preparing grocery bags with shelf-stable food items Cleaning carts and maintaining an organized workspace

This hands-on opportunity is a great way to support food access efforts and help ensure community members receive resources with dignity and compassion.

Minimum Age: 18 years old
