The UDS Foundation Holiday Gift Wrap Booth is celebrating its 55th year at Park City Center — a long-standing local tradition. Each year, nearly 400 community volunteers come together to support this important effort. Over the decades, the booth has helped raise more than half a million dollars to support individuals with physical and age-related disabilities through essential UDS programs, including:

In-Home Personal Care

Adult Enrichment Programs

You can volunteer individually, with a friend, or as a group.

No gift-wrapping experience is required — we’ll train you.

Volunteer Details & Requirements

Shift Length: 3–4 hours

Minimum Age: 14 years

Training: All volunteers must watch a 13-minute training video before their first shift. An experienced booth manager will be on duty at all times to provide support and wrapping tips.

Capacity: A maximum of 10 volunteers in the booth at any time

Groups: For a group or team (max 6 people), please provide all names, emails, and mobile numbers at the time of scheduling to confirm your slot

Booth Hours:

Monday–Saturday: 11:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.

Sunday: 12:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.

Extended December hours (to be announced by Park City Center)

Additional Volunteer Opportunities:

Booth Set-Up: Sunday, November 23 at 6:00 p.m.

Booth Tear-Down: Monday, December 29 at 8:00 a.m.

Lancaster Rec is hosting a festive Winter Carnival on December 18th, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lancaster Rec Center, 525 Fairview Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603. We are looking for 20 dedicated volunteers to help create a warm, family-friendly holiday experience for our community.

This special event will feature crafts, games, seasonal treats, and joyful winter activities for families of all ages.

Volunteer Roles

Event Set-Up Volunteer
Assist Lancaster Rec staff with preparing the event space, hanging decorations, setting up activity stations, and completing final tasks before doors open.

General Event Volunteer
Support event flow by helping attendees with directions, assisting activation stations, and ensuring a friendly, welcoming atmosphere throughout the event.

Event Activation Volunteer
Help operate and maintain activity stations with guidance from Lancaster Rec staff. Activities include Holiday Cookie Decorating, Hot Chocolate Station, Snowflake Decorating, Snowman Hockey Shot, Pin the Carrot on the Snowman, Winter Photobooth, Meet with Santa, Candy Cane Hunt, Vendor Tables, Winter Giveaway Wheel, Holiday Storytelling, Holiday DJ Services, Holiday Movies, Gingerbread House Contest, Face Painting, Snowball Can Toss, and VR Gaming.

Event Breakdown Volunteer
Assist with closing down the event by removing decorations, packing away activity stations, cleaning up, and ensuring the building is restored to its original condition.

Volunteer Roles & Shifts Morning Volunteers (2 per day)

Time: 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM
What You’ll Do:

Lead clean-up and restocking

Help with bedding change-over

Prepare the space before the Day Center opens

Evening Volunteers (3 per day)

Time: 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM
What You’ll Do:

Greet guests with warmth and kindness

Keep food and water stocked

Assist with light cleaning and spills

Help create a calm, welcoming environment
