Join Faith Friendship Villa (FFV) during United Way of Lancaster County’s Week of Caring for Project Save the Villa – Refresh!

Faith Friendship Villa provides safe, supportive housing and personal care for 68 adults living with serious mental illness and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Volunteers will help refresh and improve the spaces our residents call home, creating a welcoming, comfortable, and well-maintained community.

What Will Volunteers Do?

Volunteers may assist with a variety of hands-on projects, including:

Painting interior and exterior spacesLandscaping and outdoor beautificationCleaning and organizing shared spacesPurging and organizingGeneral property improvementsOther projects that help refresh the Villa

No special experience is needed! Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome. Whether you're comfortable with a paintbrush, enjoy organizing, or simply want to lend a helping hand, there’s a way for you to make a difference.

Volunteers will spend time connecting with residents while enjoying a relaxing walk at a comfortable pace. This project is a wonderful way to build relationships, brighten someone’s day, and create meaningful memories through simple acts of kindness.

This project will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, volunteers will participate in a fun indoor activity with residents.

Number of Volunteers Needed: 12–40 volunteers
Project Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Minimum Age: 16 years old
(Younger volunteers may participate with an accompanying adult.)

Volunteer Requirements Volunteers must be physically able to safely push a wheelchair with a resident in it. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome. A positive attitude and willingness to engage with residents are encouraged. What to Wear
