About the Opportunity:
New Hope Life Ministry’s New Hope Community Closet is seeking motivated, community-minded volunteers to support our ongoing programs and services. This general volunteer role is a great entry point for anyone interested in giving back, exploring volunteer opportunities, and learning more about our organization’s current needs.
Volunteer tasks are flexible and can include a variety of roles, such as:
New Hope Community Closet Volunteer Positions:

Pricing: Inspect, price, and tag clothing according to the pricing chart and weekly color code.

Hanging: Inspect, hang clothes by category (men’s, women’s, children’s), add sizing buttons, and place items on the sales floor after steaming.

Steaming: Remove wrinkles and sterilize clothing with a steamer, then organize on the sales floor.

Electronics: Test donated electronic items to ensure they are in proper working order.

Wall Art: Process and price frames, artwork, and décor, then display on the sales floor.

Receiver: Greet donors and receive donations at the back door.

Housewares: Price and prepare housewares for sale, ensuring cleanliness and completeness.

Entertainment: Process books, DVDs, CDs, vinyl records, board games, and puzzles for the sales floor.

Sorting: Inspect clothing for quality issues and sort into bins for pricing.

Accessories: Process and price hats, gloves, scarves, ties, and baby items for display.

Linens: Process and price linens for the sales floor.

Shoes: Price shoes by category (men’s, women’s, children’s) and organize on the sales floor.

Crafts: Process and price crafting items for sale.

Cleaning: Maintain the sales floor by vacuuming and dusting.

Cashier: Greet customers, operate the register, and organize displays.
