Hospice & Community Care's largest annual fundraiser is the Labor Day Auction, a two-day event held at the Solanco Fairgrounds n Quarryville on Saturday, August 30th and Monday, September 1st. All proceeds raised go towards supporting patients and families with end of life care and grief support services.
The Labor Day Auction is indeed a labor of love. In addition to needing volunteers for the two Auction Days, we are also actively recruiting volunteers to help with set-up week from August 25th - August 29th, along with clean-up post event on Tuesday, September 2nd. Throughout set-up week, volunteers help to unload & set-up tables and chairs, unload thousands of donated auction items & set-up several auction buildings in preparation for the main event. We're looking for volunteers who can help out anywhere from a few hours to a few days.
Snacks will be provided each day and volunteers will be a part of a special group of people working together to support a fun event which directly benefits patients and families in our community.
