Volunteers Needed for Low-Barrier Shelter
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate volunteers to help support our new low-barrier shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness. Volunteers will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and organized environment.
Volunteer Shifts:
- Evening Shift: 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
- Night Shift: 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Check-In & Intake (7:30 PM - 8:00 PM): Greet guests, assist with intake paperwork, and direct them to their assigned beds.
- Settling Guests (8:00 PM - 8:30 PM): Help guests arrange their belongings and distribute bedding, towels, and hygiene kits.
- Shower Assistance (8:30 PM - 9:30 PM): Guide guests to shower facilities, provide necessary items, and ensure privacy and cleanliness.
Preference for volunteers able to commit to both evening and morning shifts, but evening shift participation is welcome!
