Join Lancaster Rec and United Way of Lancaster County for a Week of Caring volunteer opportunity at Conestoga Pines Barn, the home of Camp Optimist Summer Camp.

With students back in school, Lancaster Rec is looking for volunteers to help give the barn some much-needed attention and prepare it for future camp activities.

What Volunteers Will Do

Volunteers will help:

• Clean and organize the barn
• Sort and reorganize materials
• Help create a clean, safe, and functional space
• Prepare the barn for future Camp Optimist activities

Volunteers Needed

4–8 volunteers
Ages 18+

No special experience is required. Volunteers should have an eye for organization and cleanliness and be comfortable helping with general cleaning and organizing.

What to Wear

Please wear comfortable clothing that may get dusty or dirty.

Parking and Check-In

Use GPS to navigate to the address. When entering the driveway, proceed approximately 100 yards. The barn will be on the left.

A Lancaster Rec representative will meet volunteers at the barn for check-in.

Come volunteer, make a difference, and help maintain an important space for Camp Optimist and the students Lancaster Rec serves.
