Volunteers needed at the Senior Farmers Market Fruit and Vegetable drive-thru event!
General info: Wed May 19 at Long’s Park from 9am -2pm.
Arrive at 8am (We will be setting up at 7:30am and will tear down some after 12noon then at 2pm)
Use main entrance on Harrisburg Pike to enter the park.
Distribution location is at RT 30 wall which is between Pavilion # 3 and the Petting Zoo.
Volunteers needed to:
1. Greet seniors near (not at) main entrance of the park to give them info about what to expect
2. Greet seniors at distribution location in park to give them info while waiting their turn to pick up vouchers. This includes directing them to drive into next spot to get their vouchers.
3. Assist each OOA staff person handing vouchers out at one of 4 stations.
4. Directing traffic leaving the stations and the park.
5. If enough volunteers are available they can be placed at Pavilion #1 road side location to direct to the only open bathroom then return to main entrance to get back in line. Traffic pattern prohibits cars to get back in line at that location!
