Back to School Giveaway Volunteers

Each school year hundreds of Lancaster City families struggle to provide their children with the basic supplies needed for class.  On Saturday, August 20th, my office will be hosting our fifth annual Back to School Community Event.  We are collecting backpacks and school supplies to help our students start the year off right!   We are also collecting gift cards to Staples, Office Max, and other local stores to purchase supplies.  Checks can be made payable to the Lancaster Recreation Commission. All funds will be used to purchase supplies and backpacks.  With your help, we can make this year’s event the best yet!  Please contact our office if you are interested in donating.  Backpacks and supplies can be dropped off at our office, 150 E King St. Lancaster.
