Volunteer for the Wheels & Wings Event
Wheels & Wings Festival & 5K – May 15 & 16, 2026
The Rotary Club of Lancaster is gearing up for our Wheels & Wings Festival & 5K, and we need amazing volunteers like you to help make it a success! From race registration to kids’ activities and car show assistance, there’s a role for everyone.
Key Volunteer Opportunities:
Friday, May 15 – Event Set-Up (Noon–5:00 pm)
- Tasks: Hanging banners, placing signs, prepping car show parking, setting up cones, and more
- Shifts: Full afternoon or 2–4 pm
- Note: Bring gloves
Saturday, May 16 – Show Car & Spectator Parking (7:30 am–1:00 pm)
- Assist with parking show cars or spectators and collecting parking fees
Saturday, May 16 – Kids Area (8:30 am–1:30 pm)
- Help kids enjoy inflatables and “touch-a-truck” activities safely
Additional Roles Include:
- 5K Race Support – Course set-up, registration, water tables, announcements, and guiding runners
- Car Show & Fly-In Support – Registration, parking, vendor oversight, raffle table, announcements, and award distribution
- Money Counters – Track and record funds from parking, registration, and raffle sales
- Clean-Up Crew – Help secure signs, take down tables/chairs, and collect trash
Important Details:
- Most shifts are 1.5–2 hours, so volunteers can pick what works best
- Volunteers will be outdoors—dress for the sun, wear sunscreen, and stay hydrated (water provided)
- Food trucks will be on-site if you’d like to purchase lunch
- Sitting roles are available in the Kids Area or Fly-In area
