Make a difference this tax season by joining our VITA Scheduler Team!
We’re looking for 15–30 dedicated volunteers to support the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program — helping local families schedule their free tax preparation appointments and access valuable financial resources.

Dates & Times:

12/01/2025: 10 a.m.–12 p.m. or 12 p.m.–2 p.m. 12/02/2025: 10 a.m.–12 p.m. or 12 p.m.–2 p.m. 12/03/2025: 12 p.m.–2 p.m. 12/04/2025: 12:30 p.m.–2 p.m. 12/05/2025: 10 a.m.–12 p.m. or 12 p.m.–2 p.m.

Location: 1910 Harrington Drive, Lancaster, PA — Board Room
Duration: 2-hour training session

Using our phone system (Microsoft Teams) Navigating the VITA scheduling software (DaySmart)

 Volunteer Details

Start Date: January 2, 2025
End Date: April 15, 2025

Shift Day(s): Monday-Friday

-          Weekend shifts are available

Shift Options (3 hours each):

9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Location: Remote or Onsite options available

 Volunteer Role

As a VITA Scheduler, you’ll:

Making friendly calls to community members Help clients schedule VITA tax appointments Conduct basic client screening
