Our client services assistant will assist our families and individuals through the process of furniture selection, welcome them into our space, and assist with scheduling deliveries for our clients. Our grant researcher/writer will assistant our executive director to develop content for essential grant applications for local, state, and family foundations, enabling the organization to continue to grow and provide services to a six county region across South Central PA. On the job training and supervision will be provided by our executive director. Previous experience with grant research or writing is a plus, but not a requirement. Willingness to think outside the box, be able to utilize templates, and write to different audiences will be helpful. The role can be hybrid- in-person/remote, and hours can be adjusted based on volunteer availability.

The warehouse team member will assist in the overall operations and flow of our warehouse furniture storage and showroom floor. This individual will work in a team environment and be able to work independently to problem solve better solutions for temporary furniture storage, and bring new ideas to improve our showroom, design, and client experience. The warehouse team member will support the team with unloading donor pick-ups and loading client deliveries. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, critical thinking, and the ability to think creatively. The warehouse team member will also assist with general maintenance of the facilities, including maintaining a clean, safe working environment. Other duties may vary depending on the day and the types of assistance required on-site.

As the Pennsylvania Furniture Mission’s Social Media & Marketing Coordinator, this individual will have the opportunity to develop social media content, blog entries, and marketing materials for the organization. We welcome new ideas that our communication coordinator may have, so that we can share the mission of the organization with diverse audiences. This role will require creativity; the ability to learn new programs quickly, and the desire to develop new materials that will assist the organization in collaboration with external partners, both for-profit and not-for-profit. D uties may include general assistance in our administrative team, taking photographs /videos of our clients, volunteers, and team members (with permission), developing website content, and maintaining our presence on Google, etc, while improving our SEO. This role could be hybrid in person and remote.

The Pennsylvania Furniture Mission is seeking a proficient Spanish speaker and writer to translate our Partner Agency Guide into Spanish. The purpose of our Partner Agency Guide is to share information about our referral process with the organizations that refer their clients to our home furnishing program. There may be opportunities for ongoing volunteer translation work. This project would be the priority, however, there may be additional opportunities in the near future for similar work.
