Clothing Closet Refresh: Library Database & Display Update: Volunteers may choose the area that best matches their interests and skills. Volunteer DetailsNumber of Volunteers Needed: Clothing Closet: 5–6 volunteers each day Library Project: Up to 5 volunteers each day Maximum Team Size: 11 volunteersProject Duration: Approximately 3 hours Minimum Age: Ages 12+ with a parent/guardian Ages 18+ may participate independently Volunteer Requirements Volunteers should be comfortable with sorting, organizing, and light lifting tasks. For the library project, basic computer skills and comfort using online forms and spreadsheets are helpful. No special experience is required. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome. What to WearPlease wear: Comfortable clothing Comfortable closed-toe shoesPlease avoid: Open-toed shoes High heelsVolunteers may be moving boxes, carrying totes, and navigating stairs during the project. Accessibility and Parking InformationParking Options: Metered street parking is available on E. Main Street. Free street parking is available after 6:00 PM and on Sundays. Free on-street parking is available south of Juniper Lane on S. Cedar Street. Free off-street parking is available on North Water Street.Lancaster County Chooses Love is also conveniently located along a bus route with a stop on E. Main Street. Volunteer Check-In ProcessVolunteers should enter through the main entrance located on the side of the building. A staff member or regular volunteer will greet participants upon arrival. Weather PlanThis project is indoors and will only be cancelled in the event of flooding, tornado warnings, or severe weather conditions that would make travel unsafe.
