Church of the Apostles & Rader Park Gardens

Rader Park's Seeds of Hope Gardens sprouted in 2012 and has flourished since. Spanning an acre and a half, this thriving garden yields a surplus harvest of approximately 3,000 pounds annually, shared with local food banks and missions, spreading abundance throughout our community. If you have a green thumb and a passion for giving back, consider joining our gardening team.

If you're interest goes beyond gardening, we also need a "handy-person" to assist our Property Manager in the upkeep of our outdoor structures, buildings and grounds keeping (weeding, mulching and trim)

Please note: If you are looking for a short-term committment for community service hour, this role is primarily filled during  weekday hours. 

The Church of the Apostles' campus includes Rader Park, the cornerstone of our church’s commitment to Environmental Advocacy. In recent years, Church of the Apostles UCC has transformed its surrounding landscape into a vibrant community park and the Seeds of Hope Garden.
