Who We Are
In keeping with Christ’s teachings, CVCCS works to meet the various needs of our homeless, at-risk and socially isolated neighbors by providing food and clothing, as well as access to established social service providers in an effort to sustainably improve their standard of living. We will fulfill this mission with integrity and credibility while protecting the dignity of those we serve without discrimination.
What We Do
Our clothing bank offers clean gently used clothing, shoes and coats free of charge to families and individuals in need across Lancaster County. Clients need a referral from a social provider.
CVCCS offers a community food bank. We allow our clients to shop for the food items their family will enjoy including fresh fruits and vegetables. We serve residents and church attendees of the Conestoga Valley School District. Our hours of operation are Wednesdays from 10am-4pm and Thursdays from 1pm-7pm. Call 717-208-3711 for more information.
Our Weekend Blessings program, we pack easy to prepare meals for the homeless or poverty stricken students in the CV elementary schools. They receive a breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, fruit, and drink for Saturday and Sunday every week of the school year. This program runs until late May. The children are referred by the CVSD and remain anonymous to CVCCS.
