Christ United Methodist Church

Our mission is to serve Christ in our community, with love and respect for all persons as we grow in the love and grace of Jesus Christ. We are a United Methodist Church located at 935 East Walnut Street in Lancaster, PA. Besides our Sunday morning worship service and Sunday School, we provide a Wednesday night Children's program. and a Thursday Weekly Release Education Program for Wickersham Elementary which will grow to 2 days starting in September. Happy Hearts, a senior group, meets once a month and we also house the United Support Group which works with special needs youth and adults.

Christ UMC was previously located on Broad Street and known as Broad Street UMC. The church out grew its facilities in the 1960's and built its new building on Walnut Street. Christ UMC has served the local community for many years and has a special heart for children. Many of the members of the church have attended Wickersham and McCaskey and continue to live in the city. We hope to maintain that neighborhood atmosphere by continuing to meet the needs of the neighbors and provide a safe space for children to grow up in.
