Lancaster Community Gardens

Who We Are

Lancaster Community Gardens was formed in early 2012 with the following mission: To organize resources including volunteers, materials, equipment, and capital in order to start, manage, and maintain productive, organic community gardens in and around Lancaster in order to achieve the following: stronger ties within our community education (nutrition, agriculture, and land management, and business) contributions of fresh produce to local food banks, sustainable ways for people who typically can't grow their own food because of lack of access to adequate growing conditions. All of LCG efforts embrace organic growing methods, and all of our members sign an agreement holding them to that standard. Lancaster Community Gardens is a new, volunteer effort to create and maintain amazing, productive, organic community garden plots throughout Lancaster on public and unused property. There is no "we" behind this yet--you are it! Like us to learn more. This requires some committed organizers, leaders, and volunteers, so please pass the message on and help establish Lancaster as a true garden spot :)
