Lancaster Housing Opportunity Partnership

LHOP is a private-public community based partnership organized to expand opportunities for entry level workers to buy or lease affordable homes throughout Lancaster County. LHOP works in collaboration with housing providers, lenders, local government and consumers to create more affordable homes through alternative finance and development incentive programs. Our Community Home Buyer Initiative offers certified Home Education Classes in English or Spanish to all first time home buyers and the opportunity to apply for a loan to help with their down payment and/or closing costs.

Lancaster Housing Opportunity Partnership was organized in 1994. We have trained over 6,000 prospective home buyers and helped over 1200 families purchase their first home. LHOP's technical and financial support has contributed to the development or renovation of more than 500 affordable homes in Lancaster County.
