Lititz recCenter

The mission of the Lititz recCenter, a non-profit organization, is to enrich the lives of the community by providing exceptional programs and facilities that promote participation of individuals, families, businesses, and groups from all backgrounds. The Lititz recCenter has a long and rich history, initiating with the vision of a handful of dedicated community members in 1947. Since our inception, the recCenter has outgrown two former locations and now occupies a 47,000 square foot facility, provided primarily through the generosity of community partners and individual donations. LrC offers a full range of programming and activities for all people. The Lititz recCenter has a Children Services Department servicing families with after school care, before school care, a preschool program, older kids program and special camp days. Our facility was completely renovated in 2007. Presently the facility has an air conditioned gym; an indoor heated swimming pool; a new air conditioned fitness center; kidZone; recZone;and spacious rooms for special events. Our facility provides programs for all ages,and serves as a gathering place for many community groups and a site for a variety of public and private events. A seasonal program guide lists the current programs and day to day information. The Lititz recCenter offers programming well beyond its doors through community partnerships with area school districts, local governments, businesses, and churches. A 15-member Board of Directors lead & govern the LrC. Our board members have strong ties to the business, academic, and non-profit communities and regularly demonstrate their individual commitment to the recCenter's mission and goals.

For 55 years, the Lititz recCenter has been meeting our mission to enrich the lives of our youngest and oldest community members alike by providing exceptional programs and facilities that promote the participation of individuals, families, businesses, and groups from all backgrounds. Our programs and facilities are a hallmark for shaping today's families towards healthier lifestyles.
