Who We Are
We believe: That service to our fellow man is service to God; That in striving thus to serve, we enrich our own lives and contribute to the welfare of our community; That working together in service develops good and loyal friends; That fellowship and lasting friendships enrich our own and our families lives. Because we believe these aims can best be achieved through united efforts, we have organized the Lititz Women of Today so that we can work together to build a better community. The Lititz Women of Today is a diverse group of women of many different backgrounds and interests with a common priority in life; working together to improve their community. The Lititz Women of Today hold fundraisers such as pretzel sandwich sales, Teddy Bear Day, and for the Fourth of July Celebration at Lititz Springs Park. We also volunteer our services at organizations that serve the mentally challenged, as well as many other places in our community. Come visit us at one of our meetings to learn more. We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00pm at Moravian Manor Retirement Community on Lemon St. in Lititz. Guests and new members are always welcome!
What We Do
The Lititz Women of Today was originally chartered in 1978 under the name Lititz Area Jaycettes, an auxiliary to the Lititz Area Jaycees. As they became established and grew, their name changed to the Lititz Jaycee Women. In 1985, when the U.S. Jaycees were ordered to admit women, the organization became the Lititz Women of Today, independent of the Jaycees.
