Mechanic Grove Day Care

To provide a safe, loving, high quality, non-profit child care program for children in our community, ages 6 weeks to 7 years. Mechanic Grove Day Care is an outreach program sponsored by Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren. We believe that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovery. An early childhood experience in a Christian setting provides a child with added richness as it encourages social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual development. Our objectives are: To encourage honesty and kindness. To foster creativity and imagination. To increase a child's respect for self and others. To teach Christian values that form a foundation for Christian growth in the lives of their children and their families. To provide age appropriate material to stimulate the child's physical, emotional, and intellectual growth. To encourage open communication between the Child Care Center and parent or guardian. To meet or exceed the standards set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, as we are licensed by the state.

Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren Day Care was started as a community outreach. We currently use the old parsonage. The Day Care was founded on 10-25-84.
