Who We Are

The Mt. Hope Nazarene Retirement Community is a 21st Century ministry center, offering hope and serving the local community and beyond by providing quality, loving care in an affordable, wholesome, Christian environment as guided by Christ?s model of care for ??the least of these?? (Matthew 25:40). We are a mission to lower income people who are in need of long term care and are unable to afford care. We offer them both spiritual, physical and emotional stability and healing in an atmosphere of caring. Unlike other long term care facilities we do not cap our Medicaid participation, and welcome people of all walks of like the same opportunity regardless of status.

What We Do

From 1969 to October 2006 Mount Hope was owned by the Dunkard Brethern Church. The Ephrata Church of the Nazarene already had day care centers, schools, and a church set up and had always wanted a place where people could be ministered to in their later years. The concept of being a church that offered service to a person from birth to glory was only a dream until Mount Hope came up for sale. In November 2006 the Ephrata Church of the Nazarene had a dream of having a place where people of any kind of financial circumstance could come and be taken care of regardless of their financial status. The Home was purchased and we have made an impact in the community as the church before us did as having a legacy of caring.
