Who We Are
SACA's mission is to enable Latinos in the greater Lancaster community to succeed in their social, economic and political life. Our vision is to see Latinos in Lancaster and surrounding communities enjoy prosperity and equality. For nearly four decades, the Spanish American Civic Association has developed and nurtured hope, pride, productivity, and progress among Latinos in Lancaster City and County. SACA offers a complete menu of bilingual social, health and human services including mental health and substance abuse treatment, HIV/AIDS testing and prevention, workforce development and adult education. For many, SACA is the bridge to affordable housing, jobs, education, human services and a better future.
What We Do
The Spanish American Civic Association has become a one stop center for the Latino community, linking Lancaster County's Spanish speaking population to the broader community. SACA is actively engaged in neighborhood revitalization in the southeast corridor of Lancaster City and has created award-winning affordable home ownership opportunties as well as economic development. Educational development, behavioral health systems, and public bilingual radio and TV broadcasting are among its initiatives.
