Who We Are

Our mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma. Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Our chapter provides financial aid, education, family and patient outreach and support services, and fundraising campaigns to raise money for research patients residing in the seventeen counties of Central Pennsylvania. We also provide patients a connection to the Information Resource Center and website, as well as area treatment centers and support groups (first connection services).

What We Do

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was established in 1949 as the de Villiers Foundation, in memory of Robert de Villiers, a young man who succumbed to leukemia at age 16. Renamed the Leukemia Society shortly thereafter and eventually becoming the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, to clearly indicate that we focus on all blood-cancers. Our focus is on research, patient aid, public health education, professional education, and community service.
