The Lodge Life Services

The Lodge provides supportive services to adults with mental illness, who would otherwise be homeless, find and maintain housing. The Lincoln house and Fordney House run by the Lodge and Community Basics Inc. provide affordable living to low income individuals who have a mental illness and were formerly homeless. The houses are intended to be permanent house for adults that need the support of staff to live and function independently in the community.

The Lodge started in Reading, PA as several group homes. They have since moved to Lancaster and work with clients in the community rather than in a group home setting. Three years ago the Lincoln house opened. It currently serves 8 formerly homeless adult with mental illness. The Lodge works directly with the residents to provide needed support. Community Basics Inc. owns and maintains the property.
