Hello, my name is Michael Ketterman and I’m the Transition Coordinator at New Story School of Lancaster. I was wondering if we could talk sometime to discuss volunteer opportunities for our students. We are looking for activities for our students to gain valuable employment skills, independent living skills, recreation/leisure skills, and communication skills to enhance their transition from school to post-school. We are available from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday and have much flexibility as to when and where we can travel as long as it is in reasonable distance within the Lancaster area. Our students are between the ages of 14-21 and have a variety of skills sets but need more opportunities and experiences for community-based instruction. Please feel free to contact me at 717-881-7263 (Cell) Please note that staff will always accompany our students to their respective volunteer opportunities.
