Demuth Garden Clean-Up
Project Description:
Be part of preserving a beautiful piece of Lancaster’s artistic legacy! The Demuth Garden is a living extension of The Demuth Museum and has inspired many of Charles Demuth’s famous floral watercolors. We invite you to help us maintain this charming and historic space so it can continue to be enjoyed by visitors from around the world.
Volunteer Tasks Include:

Estimated Time Commitment: 2–3 hours
Volunteers Needed:

Minors must be accompanied by an adult
Accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible
Parking Directions:

While driving south on Duke Street, cross the intersection of Duke & King Streets

Stay in the left lane and turn left on Mifflin Street

Volunteers may park in the first two spaces near the street or in any space marked "staff parking"
Check-In Process:
Volunteers should enter through the garden fence gate labeled The Demuth Garden. Ring the doorbell at the green door marked The Demuth Museum. Karen Budusky will greet and guide you.
What to Wear/Bring:

Comfortable clothes and sun protection (hat, sunscreen)

Gardening gloves and tools (extras are welcome, including string trimmers)

We’ll provide yard waste bags and additional tools

Water will be provided

We’ve selected two date options—if one day brings rain, we’ll go with the alternate date. Please reach out to Karen Budusky for rescheduling if needed.
Skills Needed:
No experience necessary—just a willingness to help and get a little dirty!
