Hospice Volunteers Needed

Lancaster and York counties are in need of Hospice volunteers! If you care about helping others and want to make a real difference, become a Hospice Volunteer with Compassus. Hospice is specialized care that focuses on providing comfort and support to people with serious, life-limiting illnesses. Our volunteers are a big part of the support structure for patients and families. By giving your time, skills and kindness, Hospice volunteers often find they get back as much as they give. You can share your unique talents through art or music therapy, pet therapy, or sharing any other special gifts that you may have. Every bit of your generosity helps brighten the lives of our patients and their families. Some volunteer opportunities that we have available are but not limited to; being a comforting presence to an individual, bereavement support, writing letters, reading to patients, doing activities that a patient enjoys, helping make phone calls to see if anything is needed by our patients and/or their families. We are also looking for Veteran volunteers to help with our We honor Veteran’s volunteer program as well. Background check, tb test and orientation will need to be completed, all provided by Compassus.
