Project Description

Join the Lancaster County Food Hub Clothing Bank team and help make a direct impact on local families in need. Volunteers will assist with sorting and hanging donated clothing to keep the clothing racks organized, stocked, and ready for community members accessing these important resources.

This project is a great opportunity to support a vital community program while helping ensure donated clothing reaches families throughout Lancaster County.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear their company shirts or Week of Caring shirts for project photos.

Volunteer Details

Number of Volunteers Needed: 3–8 volunteers
Project Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Minimum Age: 18 years old

Volunteer Requirements

  • Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome.
  • No previous experience is needed.
  • Volunteers should be comfortable with standing, sorting, and organizing clothing items.

What to Wear

Please wear:

  • Comfortable clothing
  • Closed-toe, comfortable shoes

This project includes standing tasks, so comfortable footwear is recommended.

Parking and Check-In Information

Parking:
A gravel parking lot is available at:
811 N. Prince Street

Check-In:
Volunteers should meet the project coordinator at the N. Marshall Street entrance, located directly across from the gravel parking lot.

Accessibility and Weather Plan

  • This project is wheelchair accessible.
  • This is an indoor project and will continue as scheduled regardless of weather conditions.
