Project Description
Volunteers are the heartbeat of the Lancaster County Food Hub. Their dedication helps extend the organization’s reach and allows them to provide essential resources to thousands of individuals and families throughout the community.
During this project, volunteers will support warehouse operations by assisting with tasks such as:
- Sorting donated food items
- Packaging fresh produce
- Preparing grocery bags with shelf-stable food items
- Cleaning carts and maintaining an organized workspace
This hands-on opportunity is a great way to support food access efforts and help ensure community members receive resources with dignity and compassion.
Volunteer Details
Number of Volunteers Needed: 5–10 volunteers
Project Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Minimum Age: 18 years old
(No minors permitted.)
Volunteer Requirements
- Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome.
- No previous experience is required.
- Volunteers should be comfortable standing, organizing, sorting, and assisting with warehouse tasks.
What to Wear
Please wear:
- Comfortable clothing
- Closed-toe shoes
Volunteers are encouraged to wear their business logo or company shirts for project photos.
A volunteer release waiver will be completed before beginning the project.

A gravel parking lot is available at:
811 N. Prince Street
A map and additional parking details will be provided prior to the event.
Check-In:
Volunteers should meet the project coordinator at the N. Marshall Street entrance, located directly across from the gravel parking lot.

- This project is wheelchair accessible.
- This is an indoor project and will continue as scheduled regardless of weather conditions.
