Overview:
As a Community Education Volunteer, you will be an integral part of our organization's efforts to raise awareness about domestic violence and the services provided by DVS in the community. Your role may involve delivering educational programs to both student and adult community groups, maintaining activity logs, and participating in ongoing training to expand your knowledge of domestic violence, evidence-based practices, community resources, and related topics.
Responsibilities:
Community Education Programs:
Deliver community education programs to both student and adult community groups, promoting awareness and understanding of domestic violence issues.
Volunteer Activity Tracking:
Maintain records of your volunteer activities and submit monthly logs to track your contributions.
Ongoing Training and Education:
Commit to acquiring a minimum of 10 hours of ongoing training and education on topics related to domestic violence, evidence-based practices, community resources, and other relevant areas to enhance your knowledge and effectiveness in outreach.
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Enthusiasm for community outreach and education.

Ability to confidently represent the organization and answer general questions about domestic violence services.
