Project Title: Museum Refresh
Dates: September 8–13, 2025
Time: Flexible start times, as early as 7:30 AM
Duration: 2–3 hours per session; multi-day participation welcome
Location: Hands-on House Children’s Museum, 721 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA 17601
Project Description
Hands-on House will be closed to the public from September 2–12 for a museum refresh. Volunteers are needed to assist with:

Outdoor Refresh: Garden cleanup and restoration after summer flooding.

Indoor Tasks: Painting and preparation for the new exhibit installation.
In case of inclement weather, volunteers will assist with indoor tasks, including sanitizing toys and preparing the indoor space for reopening.

What to Bring

Clothing: Comfortable attire suitable for outdoor work

Gear: Gardening gloves (limited gloves available on-site); gardening tools (optional)

Essentials: Water bottle to stay hydrated
Volunteer Check-In
Volunteers will meet a staff member at the front door for orientation and assignment of tasks.
