We are actively seeking volunteers in various capacities at our stable. Maybe it has been a while since you last interacted with a horse or perhaps you've never worked with horses before at all... No problem! We accept volunteers of all kinds! We have volunteer needs in just about every function from landscaping and horse husbandry to photography, fund raising, event assistance, or office work. Even if you are not interested in working directly with our horses, we have several opportunities that would allow you to make a positive impact on our organization. I am eager to make connections with interested volunteers in our vicinity as we continue to grow and make a larger impact for our students!
In case you haven't heard of us before, Greystone Manor Therapeutic Riding Center (GMTRC) welcomes volunteers 14 years of age and older to assist in our therapeutic riding program as well as horse care, barn help, special events, fundraising, landscaping, photography, and more! GMTRC teaches riding skills in an adapted manner to children and adults with special needs. Our volunteers find serving as a part of our programs to be incredibly rewarding, fulfilling, and fun. Whether you (or someone you know!) are an enthusiast with many years of equine experience or someone with no horse experience at all, our volunteers have the opportunity to take advantage many personal benefits, opportunities to learn, and the chance to share in our clients’ joys, progress, and triumphs.
For additional information, please see our Volunteers page below where interested individuals are able to learn more about our mission, opportunities to get involved, and about our herd!
If you have any questions or would like to get involved with us now or in the future, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly via text or call at (717) 203-7388 or email Vol.Coordinator.GMTRC@gmail.com. Please feel free to pass along my information to any colleagues, students, or other peers that may have an interest in getting involved
